Cora Wilding 1888 /1982 Enrolled at the Canterbury college of art and studied under Sydney Thompson . Studied in Europe under Margaret Stoddart and painted with Francis Hodgkins in the 1920’s .She was awarded an MBE for her work with children and setting up the Youth Hostel Assoc of NZ .This painting is of Kaikoura were she retired to in 1951. Her works seldom come on to the market
